Trapping Has Never Been Easier
Trapping has never been easier than with Havahart® Easy Set® traps. Patented technology allows you to set your two trap doors open with just one hand and in one quick motion. Easy Set® also allows you to let critters go without ever having to touch the doors. Plus, updated sturdy hardware provides additional comfort, security, and durability.
Set and Release with One Hand
Set this humane trap in 1 simple step: Pull on the Easy Set® lever to open the doors, and the trap’s ready for a catch. Or, set the trap as a 1-door trap by releasing the cable from the offset loop and pulling the lever to the open position. Then, you can use the lever to release the animal while standing away from the trap opening and clear of the exit path.
Enlarged Hand Guard and Carrying Handle Protect You
An enlarged steel plate covers the entire width of the top of the trap, protecting your hand from contact with the animal. And the updated, rigid plastic carrying handle makes the handling experience even more comfortable for you.
Safe, Rolled Metal Edges Protect the Animal
Just like the Havahart® traps you’ve relied on for years, this trap is constructed of one-piece wire mesh, galvanized for resistance to rust and corrosion. And edges are polished smooth to protect the animal from injuring itself during transport.
No-Escape Door Locks Give You Peace of Mind
Two tightly spring-loaded doors feature updated door locks and added reinforcements, making your trap more escape-proof than ever.
A Two-Door Trap is Effective and Versatile
A two-door animal trap allows you to create a clear path from one end of the trap to the other by setting it with both ends open. Place this two-door trap against a wall or along an animal’s path in order to capture it as it travels from either direction. In order to access the bait and get to the other end, the animal must step on the trigger plate, resulting in a catch.

Review RateOverall a decent trap, but next time I will purchase the regular set and not the easy set
Well constructed traps, but one has a hair trigger and touchy to set while the other must need to trap animals in excess of 20 to 30 lbs. to set the trap off.... Have witnessed opossums go in one door, eat the bait then turn around and walk right out without setting the trap off.... These easy set traps need a way to change the sensitivity of the bait pan trigger which would allow for adjustment depending on the weight of the critter you are trying to catch... Have caught three opossums and one feral cat but none of the armadillos that are tearing up the yard.... I have baited with everything imaginable and multiple times have observed the critters (armadillos) walking all around the traps but just won't venture inside... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Response From WoodstreambrandsJules : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateI like it!
I like the design and construction. It is the best trap I have used which includes two other manufacturers.

Review RateDownsides to easy-set trapsWe have purchased 75 of traditional and easy-set styles over the years. We use them to trap ferals for our Spay Days and the traps are continuously used by the public-at-large to capture and bring cats to our clinic. We often have 65 cats on each Spay Day.
We know every trap style has a downside. Our concern with the easy-set trap is if the brace does not fall properly to pressure the door, the cat can easily escape. In trying to counter this chance, we instruct people to place rods across the trap width next to the doors once the food is set and the cat is inside. We have also learned if any object bumps the brace, including a cat reaching through the fabric, the door can easily open, allowing escape.
The plastic black end caps holding the two doors in place slide off, allowing the doors to dislodge. We need to tap on wire caps to replace the black ends. Once off, the black end caps cannot be returned to the rod ends.
The other problem we are now encountering now are the wire springs that enable the doors to close. If those become bent or worn, the door will not drop properly. We need to ask Havahart to send us new springs to repair.
The remaining problem we have encountered is sometimes the traps are bent during shipment, sometimes affecting their work-ability.
We have been buying Havahart traps for many years. We have 75 of them on hand.
To us, the best traps were made several years ago because heavier metal was used for the fabric and the end clips were uncomplicated because of his. The present traditional traps have the end clip latching-over which, to us, presents an additional catch-problem. The latching-over is required because the metal quality is lighter, in our opinion.
Review RateGood ServiceI was able to see a video of how to set the trap. Delivery was within 3 days. Very happy.
Review Rateeasy to set & realease one or both doorsI caught more than the raccoons I needed to catch so turned everything else loose with little effort, Have not even unpacked the 2nd one I bought.
Review Rate50+ years using these trapsThe only traps i would consider using. Did not know the complete make over that was done on the setting mechanism of these new traps. Unbelievable. Bought 4. Gave one to my 96 year old mother because of the ease of use. She still kept old one for back-up! Amazing
