Review RateHard to clean at the bottom where the tube is connected to the base.
I have not experienced any of the problems with the top or tube falling off. If anything, the tube is held so secure that it was near impossible to clean the seed out in the bottom. It would be nice to be able to clean easier. I use this for Thistle seed.
Review RateOnly finch feeder I'll use
Only finch feeder pretty much squirrel proof. I mean they might hang in and eat bottom seed but really can't get in. Other plastic ones were eaten through in a day. Also keeps seed dry. Only flault is the clear plastic dries after while and can become brittle
Review RateNot worth price paid

Review RatePoor Quality
We just bought this at ACE hardware. Holding it by the handle it fell apart in the parking lot! Broken before we got it to the car. We took it home and spent an hour trying to bend the ends of the handle so it wouldn't happen again. Should have never bought it!Response From WoodstreambrandsPatty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateHorrible materials
Tube has turned a awful yellow. Every piece of metal except metal bar that holds top has had paint come off & metal has pitted & or rusted. I am so tired of purchasing outdoor items that are not made from outdoor safe materials. Copper paint doesn't help. Maybe copper or stainless. Cheap plastic tubing cannot hold up to elements - it dries out - cracks & yellows. I don't even have it outside in the winter. A $25 bird feeder should theoretically last forever.Response From WoodstreambrandsAnthony : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateLooks great but plate rusts.Top hanger bad design.I bought this feeder about 3 months ago. The bottom plate is already all pitted and rusty. It looks great otherwise. I also had to install a laminated wire to replace the metal hanger that attaches to the feeder top. The hanger would keep the top on but it had to be bent to secure the top of the feeder. Bird food tends to cake on the rusty tray especially after a rain. I would not buy this again.Response From WoodstreambrandsPatty : Consumer Relations RepresentativeWe appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience. The finishing process on this product should prevent rust and increase the life of the feeder. Our feeders are covered by a one year replacement warranty.

Review RateVery poor constructionThe only reason I am giving this feeder one star is because it is in fact easy to switch the portals for the types of seed. Otherwise I have found that the base tabs that hold the tube onto the bottom tray & base are not big enough to hold the tube on resulting in the tube coming off the base & spilling the seed.
Also, the top & wire handle are not securely attached to the plastic rod resulting in the feeder coming off the top & falling to the ground, again spilling out the seed. If I don't hang it but put in on a post the feeder will stay connected to its top but the tube will come off the base in the wind.
I am not happy with this feeder at all.Response From WoodstreambrandsLauren : Consumer Relations RepresentativeThank you for taking the time to share this valuable feedback. We apologize for this experience and would like the opportunity to make things right.

Review RateNot good quality productThe only reason I am giving this feeder one star is because it is indeed easy to change the feeder ports from thistle seed to other seed. I filled it & hung it in my tree. Within 1 day the feeder was knocked onto the ground by a squirrel jumping onto it causing it to swing. The hanging wires holding the top came off post attaching the top to the feeder. The bottom does not fit securely into the plastic tube so the bottom fell off the feeder emptying the seed onto the ground. Definitely not worth the money!Response From WoodstreambrandsLauren : Consumer Relations RepresentativeThank you for sharing this feedback. We are sorry to learn that the feeder was damaged by a squirrel. To prevent squirrels from gaining access to the feeder, we recommend hanging it at least 5 feet from the ground and 10-20 feet from the nearest launching point.
Using a squirrel baffler above the feeder can also deter them from jumping onto the feeder. Our products are covered under a one year warranty for replacement. Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.

Review RatePoor DesignI bought this at home Depot several weeks ago. It's pretty but the top comes off and the feeder with all the seed falls to the ground because the wires are not curved enough. This morning, the bottom had fallen out and all the seed fell to the ground.Response From WoodstreambrandsLauren : Consumer Relations RepresentativeThank you for taking the time to share this feedback.
