This is Not actual Red Glass By T

This feeder looks very nice and the Hummingbirds do use it. However, after one year a red film started peeling from the glass revealing that it is not actual red glass . I don't know what this film is made of and hope it isn't harmful to the Birds. I was assured by Perky Pet that it wasn't harmful . They also said if i sent a picture they would replace it w a feeder of equal value. I haven't had this peeling problem with the larger Red glass antique bottle. Ive read reviews of this problem occurring with the mason jar feeder also. It is not Red glass , it is colored with a red film which doesn't last.

I have had at least four of these feeders and each one has peeled inside it is not red glass it is coated and the coating peels off. I love the feeder and so do the hummingbirds but I don't love that I keep have to buy new ones every few months.

Great Product!! By ljhi

Love this birdfeeder!! It's a high quality product. The glass container is heavy glass and a beautiful deep red. (I love that the glass is colored so the "nectar" doesn't have to be artifically colored to attract the birds. I have heard food coloring is not very good for them. ) The base is sturdy plastic but easy to use and doesn't look cheap or flimsy. The hanger is metal and sturdy and easily holds the weight of the product when filled. LOVE IT!!

Beautiful Feeder! By TSR Hummers
We have had this feeder for a couple of years and the hummers love it. So, we bought a couple more feeders to attract more birds and couldn't be happier. The birds love this feeder, it is easy to clean and fill with nectar. You can easily see the nectar level and the feeder is so pleasing to the eye when I walk by, I just smile.

Love this Product By Kat K
I live in the foothills of Colorado, just north west of Denver and this is 9th feeder of this style that I have purchased. Every one of the feeders always has several hummingbirds at them. They do well in the bright sun shine and are easy to clean. Great product, thank you and the hummingbirds thank you too.

Q.I rec'd an antique red bottle feeder as a gift. No Matter what I try, I cannot get the feeder to stop leaking. It will be ok for a short while but then the nectar starts to ooze out between the metal collar ( that has the ports ) and the plastic bottom. I have tried filling the bottle to different levels, screwing the parts together tighter & tighter ( but with a glass bottle you can only do it so tight ). A friend suggested plumber's tape between the metal & plastic parts. Don't want to try that as I am afraid it might make the birds sick. Thanks in advance for your help

We recommend keeping the hummingbird feeder out of the direct sunlight and keeping it level. The base and the bottle should be assembled tightly to form a vacuum seal.

Our Consumer Relations Team is happy to provide additional assistance. Please contact us at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973).

Q.Hello, I was wandering if it is possible to order parts for the feeder #8109-2... The gray plastic cup is broken but everything else is still good. Thanks

Replacement parts are not available for this feeder, however; it is covered under a one year warranty.
