Review RateGood Idea - BUt, poor design of cage and feed tube.
1 of 2: Engineers were sleeping on the cage design vs access of food ports by the birds. Cage bars are in the way. I had to cut away cage material so birds could access. 2 of 2: Plastic tube must be made w/bio-degradable materials. Improve your quality, get out of the business and make it in America. Will not anything from your company - I'll design my own.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateAvoid this one
The feeder cage is beautiful and sturdy, but the seed tube broke before the first winter with it was over. Now I learn that replacement parts--the main reason I have purchased Perky-Pet products--are a thing of the past and that I was expected to keep the receipt for a $20 feeder indefinitely in case of any disputes. Bad form, folks.Response From WoodstreambrandsPatty : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience and appreciate the feedback.
Due to low demand, replacement parts are no longer available. Our feeders are covered by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a one-year replacement warranty. Review RateGreat feeder, not designed for long life
The metal parts are really rugged and overall design gets an A, but the paint fades from the sun and the design of the flimsy plastic tube is by far it's biggest weakness. Tube slowly turns an ugly yellow and gets extremely brittle. Almost like the chosen resin and paint was chosen to ensure customers buy a new one every couple years. Recommend looking for a shady spot.
Review RateNeed Replacement Tubes
Rating would be higher, but... Iv'e owned 3 of these feeders over the past 5 years. They hold a lot of seed and when used with a squirrel baffle, large squirrel population is no problem. Holds a lot of seed and is very easy to clean and to load. However, the tube material grows hazy, crazes, and eventually falls apart. Seems like a easy fix to offer replacement tubes, but when they did, never, ever in stock. No follow-up to interest in six months of attempting. Guys, get your act together and stock these, PLEASE!Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. A recent business decision was made to no longer offer parts due to low demand. All feeders continue to have a one-year warranty with a copy of the purchase receipt. Review RatePlastic clouded and craked within a few months
Bought this feeder in the spring and now it has developed a crack in the clear plastic center. The plastic also clouded very quickly and felt prety flimsy from the start. Waste of money.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateUnable to feed large birds
I bought this 3 weeks ago from home Depot online.I like the feeder, the problem is no big birds will use it,I have plenty of small birds. My woodpeckers, cardinal, blue Jays etc are unable to feed from it,I am disappointed. I filled it with black seed.It is hanging 5ft from ground on tree branch. What is the issue ,I am told bigger birds need a perch??Let me know, thanksResponse From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. Birds are a creature of habit and will sometimes be hesitant to try new feeders in their environment. If there are established feeders in the area, we recommend temporarily removing them to aide the transition.

Review RateBuilt well but not squirrel resistant
It is build well, but doesn't stop squirrels at all. Cage needs to be further from feeding tube. Recommend something different if you want to keep squirrels out.Response From WoodstreambrandsPatty : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for the time taken to provide this feedback.
The cage is designed to prevent damage to the feeder by squirrels. To prevent squirrels from reaching a feeder, we recommend placing it at least 5 feet above the ground and 10 feet from the nearest launching point. Adding cayenne pepper to the seed or using safflower seed will help keep squirrels away.

Review RateGet another better one from the manufacturer because it doesn"t live up to its name.
I bought it a month ago it is a nice feeder but does not keep the squirrels away at all and it is not worth the high price I paid for it because it does not prevent them to have access to the seed ports. Really I should be reimburse by getting a better one from the manufacturer.Response From WoodstreambrandsLauren : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateHad this for 2 years, awesome feederI have had this feeder for 2 years, never had an issue until now, the plastic finally broke, I was happy to see they sell a replacement for it on this site!!! But I think 2 years of heat and freezing temps is a good deal! I highly recommend this feeder for anyone that has a lot of traffic, it holds a lot of seed!!
Review RateThe perfect feederExcellent feeder to deter squirrels. They cant get to the seeds in this feeder. Really happy with it.
