Review RateLooks good but the hummingbirds do not use it.
This feeder looks good and is easy to clean and fill. It is a bit tricky to line up the top and bottom parts but this can be done and does not leak. However, the hummingbirds do not seem to like the feeder.I have used it in Winnipeg Manitoba (Ruby-throated hummingbirds) and Victoria British Columbia (Anna's hummingbirds and Rufous hummingbirds). Other feeders are used but this one is avoided by the hummingbirds. Any help?Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for providing this feedback! Hummingbirds are creatures of habit and will be hesitant to utilize a new food source in their environment. We recommend temporarily removing established hummingbird feeders until this one is being taken advantage of. Surrounding the feeder with colorful, trumpet shaped flowers will also help to attract the hummingbirds to the feeder.

Review RateHorrible deisgn
This product is a nightmare to work with. It leaks everywhere and there's no way of tightening the base! I've wasted all my hummingbird feed. What a horrible design.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We are very sorry for this experience and appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback! When using this feeder it is important to create a vacuum seal by quickly inverting the feeder upright after filling.

Review RateNeeds Simple Revision
We have six of these. Hummers like them, but…they *really* like the one older model without the "Bug Guard". I have to fill it multiple times a day. Like other users, we do see rust, but it does not come in contact with the nectar, so I am not too concerned about it. We have used plastic in the past, and they worked well, but climate change has brought us severe hail storms which destroy them. We have had the older one for at least 4 years. A little harder to clean and fill, but it does the job and so far has survived the hail. If I could make one change, it would be to eliminate the bug guard. The hummers empty it so quickly that the insects don't stand a chance.
I live in Arizona where the heat destroys all plastic. So plastic feeders are not an option. Unfortunately the metal ones rust. I’ve bought the galvanized one and the copper looking ones. Both perky-pet has said that they are coated, but a month after use they rust from the underside of the metal.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We are very sorry to hear of this experience and have shared this feedback with our Product Managers. How often are the feeders cleaned? In this case, we recommend cleaning the feeders several times a week. This will keep the nectar fresh and the feeder inviting.

Review RateHummers love it
I love this feeder. It is very beautiful in pictures and the hummingbirds love it. I just wish it could hold a little more nectar because I have to fill it at least once a day. I guess I need to buy another one. Lol!
Review RateLooks good
I have owned this for about 5 years now. It still looks good and I haven’t had any rust. The flowers have raised a little but it’s in the sun. The hummingbirds around here prefer my less attractive plastic perky. Bummer. If I had a con, it would be the bottle opening is small. Yep. My only con.
Rust...but after the time is up for refund or exchange.. Cleaning often did not help.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateWorth The Money!
OK, OK, Yes they rust a little. I keep mine clean and still notice a bit and it usually takes awhile to show up. In fact, one I had for two years before I had to dispose of it. I own three already. I love them! They are beautiful, the hummers love them and the cost is about what I pay when I buy 2 of the cheapo plastic ones at Walmart. And, I replace those plastic ones yearly. If you want a beautiful quality addition to your hummingbird feeders, consider this one. I am ordering another one right now.
Review RatePoor design
The feeder leaks from the base where the two metal parts connect. Reading other complaints, I see this is common and it does not mater if it is windy. It is not coming out of the flowers on the base, but where the two metal pieces come together. I have tightened the bottle and base repeatedly with no help. It needs a rubber washer or something to seal it.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateThe feeder rusts within one year
The birds love it but the copper rusts within one year. I have to replace it annually. Suggest using copper looking plastic, instead of copper, such as those used on many birdseed feeders. After looking at other reviews, I'm getting the feeling its more profitable for the copper to rust...Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and have shared the suggestion with our Product Managers. Please keep in mind the feeder should be cleaned thoroughly at least twice a week (more often during warmer weather). This should help prevent this experience.

Hummingbird Feeders - Expert Tips
Filling Your Feeder:
Here are a few things to review before filling the feeder:
- Check to make sure the base compartments are securely tightened
- Push container into base to close ports to prevent leakage
- Unscrew to cap to fill with nectar
- Screw cap back on securely to form an airtight seal.
- We recommend keeping the feeder in the closed position until you get to the spot where you want to hang it.
- To open nectar reservoir - hold base with one hand and pull up on the container with the other to open ports for feeding. Your feeder is now ready.
Please note: if the cap does not fit securely on to the feeder and you see a gap between the cap and the feeder, the seal may be the issue. Please contact our Consumer Care Department at 1.800.800.1819 or email@example.com to request a new outer ring for you cap.
To replace the outer ring, push firmly on the center of the cap to pop out the middle. Replace with new outer ring.
