Easy Pour Wide Mouth
Clear, Wide-Mouth Bottle for Easy Filling Attempting to pour nectar can often be messy and time consuming – but not with the Pinch-Waist Feeder. This feeder’s bottle is designed with a wide mouth so that filling is easy and spilling is reduced. Additionally, it’s made of clear, hardened glass to ensure effortless monitoring of nectar levels.

Keep Out Insects
Built in ant moat
Keep Out Insects Our built-in defense measures guard against unwanted insect invaders so that the nectar is reserved for hummingbirds only. The built-in, flower-shaped bee guards protect the feeding ports, while the built-in ant moat prevents ants from reaching the feeder ports. Simply fill the top of the lid with water to keep ants away.

Multiple perches
Multiple Perches and Ports To attract more hummingbirds to your yard, this feeder features four feeding ports with perches. This will allow multiple hummingbirds to sit and imbibe nectar at the same time. Plus, each port is bright yellow and flower shaped to catch the eye of hummers passing overhead.

I can't open the base to clean it By Lyn

My very old pinch waist feeder died recently when the hanger gave way. The base broke. Sad since I can't get a replacement base for the small filler neck. So, I bought one of these, but I cannot get the base apart. I've tried to twist it in the opposite direction of the arrows that say "tighten" but it won't budge. Admittedly, I'm a senior woman and may not have enough strength in my hands, but I can open jars without any help. Any ideas?

Hello Lyn,

Thank you for providing this feedback! If this is our newest design, the base will separate into two pieces as soon as the glass nectar reservoir is removed. Both pieces sit right on top of each other - no twisting required! The base on the older design does not separate into two pieces.

Love it! By Beth

Best feeder ever! Wide mouth easy to clean and fill. Bottom comes apart easily and easy to clean. Stands on own after filling. Built in ant guard (wish it were deeper). But the BEST feature is new bee guard that is simply a little nipple extension to flower. Easy to clean and works. Live next door to a beekeeper and bees have left these alone. Highly recommend this product. Thank you!

210PB base drives me Nuts By Pat

I purchased two of the 210PB feeders last year but was disappointed that I cannot reassemble the base(s). No matter how hard I try to tighten them they drip everywhere. This occurs even before I try to hang them outdoors! What am I doing wrong?? Any suggestions are appreciated. Sincerely, Pat

Response From Woodstreambrands
Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Hello Pat,

The time taken to provide this feedback is appreciated! To help keep this from occurring, we recommend quickly inverting the feeder upright after filling. It is also important to keep all parts of the feeder tightly assembled. These steps are needed to create a vacuum seal, preventing the feeder from leaking.

We hope this information was helpful! Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or for additional assistance.

Perch Problem on 210PB Pinch-Waist Feeder By David

I'm also having problems with the perches on the 210PB pinch-waist feeders. The perches droop down too low to allow the birds to perch while eating. I called Perky Pet Customer Service this morning to ask if the perches had been redesigned, or if any other workarounds exist. The representative with whom I spoke stated that she had never heard of this problem, and that no solutions are available. Does anyone else have a successful workaround for this problem?

Response From Woodstreambrands
Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Hello David,

Thank you for providing this feedback! We recommend keeping the perches screwed onto the feeder tightly (with the screw on the underside of the base). Also, the bottom half of the base should be tightened by twisting it clockwise.

We apologize for this experience and hope this information was helpful! Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or for further assistance.

New Style Pinch Waist Feeders Leak By UncleHenry

I have been using the old style pinch waist 8oz feeders for years. I thought I would try 2 of the new style feeders with a larger mouth to fill with. Big mistake. I cannot stop them from leaking. I have tried several different methods to stop leaks. I don’t know why they were changed unless it was to make them easier to fill. Good idea, but created an unexpected problem. The opening where you fill is much larger on the new feeders. I think this is why they are leaking. Please go back to the old style feeders with the smaller opening to fill with.

Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Hello Henry,

Thank you for providing this feedback! The information and suggestion is valuable to us and has been shared with our Product Managers.

A few things to keep in mind when feeding hummingbirds and preventing leaks include keeping the feeder out of the direct sunlight (as the nectar will expand when it gets warmer), hanging the feeder level and keeping all parts of the feeder assembled tightly. Also, cleaning the feeder at least twice a week is recommended.

We hope this information was helpful! Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or for additional assistance.

Possible cause By J

It's possible that the soft washer type component that fits into the mouth of the glass container isn't installed correctly. I don't have any problem with my model 210(s) and I have several.

Great feeder By Jim

I need to know what is the red silicon ring that was inside the base of the feeder? Do I need to keep this installed. I ordered three pinch waist feeders and only two had the ring inside..

Response From Woodstreambrands
Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

There are two different versions of this feeder. One version requires this red silicon ring, the other version does not. We recommend keeping the ring in place when using the feeders.

Offer old design pinch waist feeders again in addition to the new. By Jim

I have used the old style pinch waist glass feeders for years and love them as do the hummers. I was planning to order more but the reviews concerning leaking, bee guards and perch problems are very disappointing. I've had no problems with the old models and have recommended them to many people not knowing you have changed them. Sounds like you have ruined a great product trying to make it better. Please offer the old style bases again with the old style flower and I will place my order. I need some replacement flowers as they gradually break as they get older. Can I order parts?

Response From Woodstreambrands
Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

While we are no longer manufacturing the older version of this feeder, we appreciate these comments and will share the interest with our Product Manager. This type of feedback is very valuable when deciding what products to offer in the future.

The replacement flower ports are still available for this feeder as well as the older model. Please click here to be directed to this product.

My new feeder is great! By Judy

I love my new Perky-Pet humming bird feeder, model 210PB. It is easy to clean and easy to fill. The feeders I had previously either leaked or the bottom would fall off and lose all the food. The new style bee guards on the flowers work great also. I love watching these amazing little birds.

good By Di

I love these feeders except the stands are too far away from the base for the hummingbirds to sit.

Q&A
Q.How do I get the silicon ring for this to stop the leaking?
A.

We apologize as replacement parts are not available for purchase. When the base and the bottle are tightly assembled and the feeder is kept level and out of the direct sunlight, it should not leak. We recommend cleaning the feeder and quickly inverting it upright after filling.

Q.I bought yourpinch waste humming bird feeder brand #210PB why does it leak at bottom base
A.

When using this feeder, we recommend completely filling the bottle with nectar and ensuring that the bottle is twisted securely into the base to create a better seal.
