Perky-Pet® Pinch Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder with Free Nectar

Hang the Perky-Pet® Pinch Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder in your yard or garden and let the bird-watching begin. Hummingbirds are a sight to behold. The tiny, adorable, creatures of flight--with their incredible wings and splash of iridescent color--make a delightful addition to any outdoor space. Used correctly, this feeder will attract hummingbirds to your yard and keep them coming back again and again.

16 Ounce Capacity & 4 Feeding Stations - Holding up to 16 ounces of nectar, this hummingbird feeder features a transparent glass bottle with a pinched waist and a wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning. It's bright-red plastic top and base are visually appealing while catching the attention of hummingbirds. The feeder's design also includes four feeding stations, each with a resting perch and a built-in bright-yellow, flower-shaped bee guard to protect the nectar supply. The feeder also comes with a built-in ant moat on the top of the feeder (simply fill the moat with water to keep the ants away).

Easy to Clean - Keep the feeder clean and filled with fresh nectar to ensure return visits from hungry hummingbirds. In addition to its wide mouth opening, this hummingbird feeder's base unscrews from the glass reservoir for convenient access and thorough cleaning. Perky-Pet® recommends cleaning the hummingbird feeder at least twice a week, more often in very warm climates or seasons.

Works well for me! By Scooper

I bought one of these to try and mine does not leak. I love the ease of cleaning. As another reviewer said, it seems the birds have to lean forward to use the feeder. Maybe that could be addressed in the next version? While at a home improvement store I noticed someone looking at hummingbird feeders. I recommended she look at your site first.

Not as satisfied with this one as the one I ordered from Perkey-Pet before By Killowatt

I have ordered a similar humming bird feeder in the past from Perkey-Pet and was very satisfied with it but the one I bought this time was a little different from the one I got before. This one looks like the old one but with the different design of the two piece bottom plastic part with rubber seal, I found that it leaks sometime and all the liquid leaks out over night. Also the nectar that came with it had no instructions on how to mix it and I mixed the powder with two cups of water and filled the feeder and the Humming birds ignored it. I had filled another feeder that I purchased before with sugar water and it was gone in two days.

Feeder leaks profusely, poor customer support response! By Chuck

I had the same leak problem with the 210PB, and the same canned response, be sure the seal is tight, keep it out of the wind, and out of the sunlight. I asked if perhaps I should keep it in the garage??? The leaky, defective product is not the worst problem, Perky poor customer support response is a larger issue. Too many others have the same problem, Perky should readily make good with a replacement or alternative. Difficult to understand why management doesn't step up to the plate. Looks like NO more Perky products!

leaks no matter what! By Barbara

I have tried several times to fill this feeder as directed (completely full--to the point of overflowing) without any success--- it STILL leaks!! I wouldn't not recommend this style until some design changes are made to eliminate this problem. It's really pretty useless.

Defective Feeders By dvonjr

These responses are in my opinion canned responses. Let me explain. I purchased 4 Perky-Pet® Pinch-Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder with Free Nectar, Model #: 203CPBN, all 4 leaked, (not badly) but after a few days you could see that the levels of nectar had decreased, (in all four feeders). Now I know that the resident Hummingbird we had did not consume that much nectar. I called Perky Pet to explain that these feeders leaked. I was given the exact response you gave here,(canned). Perky Pet sent me replacements and asked that I try just one of them to see if the same thing happened. I sadly report that it did. This is how I found out that they leaked. The Hummingbird would not go to the feeding ports but hover underneath the feeders. Finding this a curious behavior I checked and noticed drops under the feeders. Tasting these drops proved the nectar was leaking. I also pulled off one the bee guard cages and found that the hummingbird would now visit the feeding port. Yes this is a separate issue however this all leads to the problems with this feeders design. I then purchased the Model #: 210PB feeder which is the one being complained about here. These also leak and worse than the original ones I first purchased. From under all of the bee guard petals you can clearly see leakage. Tasting the drops that form under the feeder you will taste the sweetness of nectar and our resident hummingbird again chooses to hover underneath the feeder rather than visit the feeding ports.

This feeder is expensive junk. By Todd

This feeder will not hold food for half a day. It leaks profusely (actually, it hemorrhages). In short, this feeder stinks and is not worth the money to ship back to Perky-Pet. Do yourself a favor, and buy another manufacturer's feeder.

Bird feeder By Jill

Mine is the hour glass feeder and it leaks. It needs a rubber gasket. I would like reimbursement as 4 other people had the same experience. Fortunately I found the receipt from Orchard supply but unfortunately it is just past the ninety day return policy. I will still try as it is defective and doesn't work.

Leaks By DanE

I ordered 4 of these feeders from Amazon and thought I was getting the older model as showed in picture. Received this one with ant mote on top and bee guards which does nothing but leak, just like one I tried earlier. Which is why I was trying to get older model that never leaked. No luck and hard to find.

Needs improvement By Curly top
After setting this particular feeder out next to 2 others you manufacture(d), our hummers quickly discovered that either their necks weren't long enough while perched or their legs were too short. They quickly moved to the older models. I would like to suggest that the perches be made to be upturned more to bring them closer and having a better angle for their long beaks to reach inside of the bee guard ports.

We appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience. Our product team always looks for possible product improvements and consumer suggestions are helpful.

Since birds are creatures of habit, removing old feeders temporarily can help them get used to a new feeder more quickly.

Q&A
Q.I bought yourpinch waste humming bird feeder brand #210PB why does it leak at bottom base
A.

When using this feeder, we recommend completely filling the bottle with nectar and ensuring that the bottle is twisted securely into the base to create a better seal.
