Review RateMetal basin cap will rust
Bought this feeder 2 years ago and it was beautiful and worked great for the first season....and then the bottom metal cap that the flowers sprout from rusted on the bottom (top still looks great). Even after cleaning and trying to remove the rust, it keeps coming back. The rust taints the nectar and makes the feeder unusable. The glass bottle is now being used as a vase because I had to throw the bottom feeder contraption away.Response From WoodstreambrandsKathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateLove it!
Beautiful feeder! Yes the neck is narrow but I fill all my feeders with a funnel so it doesn't bother me. I also used a piece of that thick coated wire to hang it so I don't have to tip it when hanging. It's a really pretty feeder. I love the red bottle! Can't wait to get hummers this year!
Review Ratethe picture does not do it justisthis feeder was so simple together and hang. Very beautiful it is still attracting late in the hummingbird season.
Review RatePerfect style, size and color!I bought this as a present for my brother who lives with his fiancée in their new house in Nashville! Style is a good fit
Review RateBeautiful and effective!I bought 4 of these and have to refill them daily. We have at least 50 hummingbirds enjoying these feeders.
Review RateAmazon ReviewBest hummingbird feeder ever! Of course it looks fantastic, and our resident hummers love it. We make our own nectar with sugar boiled in water. We're also lazy, not the type to empty & scrub feeder every week (really, who does that?). With 3-4 regular hummingbirds, the large capacity can last for several weeks. As the feeder is in shade almost all day, we've never had the nectar go funky on us, even in a Phoenix summer. After maybe 1 1/2 -2 years, some of the red coloring has flaked off the very bottom of the bottle - it's not red glass throughout, but has held up really well. The metal top part with the flowers is sturdy and mates up with the plastic bottom making a secure seal. Our feeder got knocked off a perch about 4 feet high, onto river rocks, and cracked the plastic threads inside. The bottle survived, and the metal top got a bit bent. Now it leaks a bit and the threads won't hold securely (a larger bird partially dislodged the feeder portion, spilling a half full bottle of nectar). So, we're buying another one! We've uploaded a slow-motion video of our backyard hummers enjoying and fighting over the feeder, AFTER it was first broken!
Review RateAmazon ReviewLooks great and my hummingbirds are going to be soooo attracted to the bright red color of shimmering glass.
Review RateAmazon ReviewGot this for my Grandma for Christmas, it's so pretty and she loves it!!
Review RateAmazon ReviewIt's beautiful. I wish it had the little stand for the hummingbirds to rest, but I think it'll work fine. :)
Review RateAmazon ReviewVery good quality glass bottle and feeder, I noticed there were some sharp plastic sprues on the inside of the plastic bowl, I simply smoothed them down with my dremmel. I didn't want to risk the birds scratching their long tongues on the sprues. It only took a sec. Other than that, it is very nice, the wire assemblage for hanging is very strong, just went through a huge rain storm and did not fall off hook or fill with rain, as some cheap feeders have done. Glass bottle is easier to keep clean of mold than plastic bottles.

Hummingbird Feeders - Expert Tips
Hanging Your Feeder
- Ideally a sheltered southeastern exposure location is best for hanging bird feeders since birds like to feed in the sun and out of the wind. Birds also prefer not to have any obstructions over their feeding area so they can see any predators. more»
- Keeping your feeder clean and full of fresh bird seed is very important to the health of visiting birds. It is recommended that you clean your wild bird feeder every two weeks. more»
Hummingbird Feeders - FAQs
Q: What criteria should I use when selecting a hummingbird feeder?
A: Make sure it is one that will be easy to clean and fill, especially since you will need to clean the feeder every few days. If you are worried about bees and wasps or ants invading the feeder, purchase a hummingbird feeder with bee guards, such as the Perky-Pet model #203CP or ant guards, Perky-Pet model #242.
Q: How do I clean my hummingbird feeders?
A: Hummingbird feeders need to be cleaned every 1-2 weeks. Use hot water and a bottle brush, along with mild soap; be sure to rinse thoroughly. The Perky-Pet cleaning mop is specifically designed for the purpose of cleaning hummingbird feeders, and is very convenient to use. This cleaning mop can also be used on seed feeders and oriole feeders for those small, tight spaces that are difficult to reach.
Q: What is the importance of providing water for hummingbirds?
A: Hummingbirds need fresh, clean water just as much as they need nectar. Hummingbirds stay healthy by using water not just for drinking, but also bathing, cleaning their feathers and to remove parasites. Waterers are better options than bird baths because they provide hummingbirds with fresh, clean water that prevents dirt and debris from contaminating it. In hotter climates or seasons, providing water for hummingbirds makes it easy for them to have access to a water source and retain their energy.
