Description
Victor® Rat Zapper® Ultra Rat Trap Eliminate your rodent problem quickly and effectively with the Victor® Rat Zapper® Ultra Rat Trap. From set-up and use through cleaning and maintenance, each zap will be a snap thanks to the easy-to-use design. The ultra-sized chamber is ideal for targeting larger rats that invade your property. This humane trap kills rodents using a high-voltage shock and since rats are able to restart their hearts, the shock is applied for 2 minutes to ensure higher kill rates. To get started, simply apply a high protein bait in the provided bait cup, place the trap in a location with high rodent activity and turn it on.

High Voltage Shock
High-Voltage Shock Humanely Kills Rodents The Rat Zapper® Ultra is equipped with smart circuit technology that senses when a rodent enters the trap. Once the rodent is inside, it steps on the metal plates, completing the circuit and the trap delivers a continuous high-voltage shock for 2 minutes to effectively eliminate rat invader. This trap is capable of eliminating up to 60 rats per set of fully charged batteries (4 “D”).
LED Light Alerts With the Victor® Rat Zapper® Ultra Rat Trap, simplifying your pest control routine is a breeze. Each time the trap catches a rat, the light on top of the trap flashes red to indicate a kill. You’ll know when it’s time to empty your trap without having to check manually. Plus, the convenient LED light function will not only notify you of a catch, but it will also alert you when the trap’s battery is running low by rapidly flashing red.

No Touch Cleanup
No-Touch Cleanup With the Rat Zapper® Ultra, cleanup is effortless! Unlike standard rat traps, you don’t have to touch or look at dead rodents. The rat is contained within the kill chamber, which hides it from sight, while the indicator light lets you know when it’s time to empty. After a kill, just tip the trap to discard the dead rodent into the trash without having to touch it.

How to Set the Rat Zapper® Ultra For your convenience, the Victor® Rat Zapper® Ultra Rat Trap is very easy to use. Get your trap setup by following these four simple steps:.
  1. Add Bait - Apply a small amount of high-protein bait, such as peanut butter, to the back wall of the trap away from the metal plates using a Q-tip or other tool to avoid transferring your scent.
  2. Insert Batteries - Remove the battery cover. Insert 4 “D” batteries into the battery compartment before replacing the cover.
  3. Place the Trap - Place the trap on a flat surface against a wall where you have seen signs of rodent activity. The trap should be placed lengthwise with the entrance nearest to the wall.
  4. Turn On - Activate by flipping the switch to the “ON” position. A green light will blink once to indicate the trap is functioning properly.

Clean, Easy, & Effective By Jimmy

I bought the 3 pack of RatZappers. They have worked well for me. Only once has a mouse/rat activated the trap and lived. When the red lights flash I turn off power and dump the mouse/ rat into the trash. To “reset” I dump a few small pieces of dog biscuit into it and turn back on. Easy and clean process.

best trap for catching mice By Tip

Rat zappers are always reliable for catching mice. (Rats, not as much luck for us in a house that had/has rats.) But for mice, these are top notch. I would only buy these!

Positive By E.A.

Very efficient way to get rid of rats and mice. You don't ever need to deal with a partial catch, the way you do with a snap trap. And other pets can't get accidentally injured, as with a snap trap. A piece of dog food kibble and a freshly broken pecan enticed the rodents in! I have several zappers set right now.

Success By Gordy

Bot 3 zappers and gave one to my neighbor. We live on a desert golf course where wildlife are plentiful. Snap traps are not a great solution because of other wildlife being in danger. My neighbor put his zapper outside and placed a plastic box over it with entrance holes cut. First night... Nothing. He placed Cheerios near the entrance just to see if there was activity. The next morning, red lights illuminated and a desert rat dispatched. Now I'm anxious to get my zappers set up.

Humane, Quick and Clean Removal! By n/a

Tired of spending hours cleaning mice droppings, putting poison out and having rodents die in the walls or who knows where? I bought my first Rat Zapper 15yrs ago and it was worth every penny! I just got 3 rat zappers through Victorpest and solved the problem within a week! Don’t waste your time trying to find these at hardware stores! They’re more expensive and more than likely they never heard of rat zapper or don’t have them. No worries with pets, easy disposal, more humane way to kill rodents. Don’t get cheap batteries, it makes a difference. Rat Zapper-Ultra Rat Zapper is the way to go!!!order one now and solve your rodent problems! FYI-I didn’t like the cheaper version “electronic mousetrap”didn’t catch anything.Ultra Rat Zapper Quality Product Well Worth It!!!

Works great By gypsy

While we really don't like having to get rid of living things, when they get into your walls, it becomes a necessity. From the first time we put the traps out, they worked. We have nwt gotten the critters that were in the walls. We actually put the traps outside. We bought plastic tubs with detachable lids and cut a hole in one end to protect them from the weather. They work great.

Preferred by mice and rats By Rat Man

I was having trouble with rats and mice in a metal building until I sealed up a hole. Before the fix, I put out three Rat Zappers and four sticky traps. The first night the Rat Zappers were 3 for 3, while the sticky traps were 0 for 4. Rats and mice definitely prefer the Rat Zappers, and they are a much more humane way to end the rodent problem.

Zapper By Las

A field near my home was recently cleared and rats moved into my garage. I have a cat and dog so didn’t want to use poison. After baiting with dog food the zapper killed two rats in two nights. Well worth the money. Disposal is easy And there is no mess

Q&A
Q.the trap definitely works, but getting the red light to quit flashing after the rodent is removed, THERE'S the problem. I checked the D cell batteries with my old Radio Shack tester and they were definitely in the green, but I can't get that stupid light to quit flashing.....
A.

To reset the red light, we recommend turning the trap off, removing the batteries and wiping down the plates with a damp cloth. After the trap has air dried, the trap can be re-baited with a toothpick amount of peanut butter on the back wall (nothing should be touching the metal plates), the batteries can be re-installed and the trap turned back on. The green light should blink once indicating the unit is working correctly.

Q.My Rat Zapper was left in the rain. I have completely dried the trap and replaced the batteries but the green light won't come on. How can i fix it? Thanks
A.

We apologize for this experience. This trap is designed for indoor use only. If the green light does not come on when the trap is turned on, we recommend a new trap.

Q.Can this trap be set in a backyard? I have a rat destroying my garden. Which trap would you recommend. Its a very big rat
A.

The electronic rat and mouse traps are recommended for indoor use only. As an alternative, we suggest trying a Havahart® live animal trap.

FAQs

Rat Zapper Ultra Trap - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where do I place the trap?

A: Place the trap along the wall where rodents primarily travel or where you have seen signs of rodent activity. Rats are wary critters and they’ll initially avoid anything new in their environment. Good news is we’re smarter than they are! It may take a few days or nights for the first rat to enter your trap but be patient!

Q: How do I bait the trap?/What should I use to bait the trap?

A: To bait the Rat Zapper, first make sure the trap is turned off. Place the bait along or on the back wall of the trap. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. We’ve carefully researched dry pet food and found it an excellent lure. Other dried baits (nuts, dehydrated fruit, etc.) can also work well. Goopy Bait Note: Please don’t place moist or goopy bait in your Rat Zapper unless you place it in a plastic container, like a medium plastic bottle cap, and then slide it to the back of your Rat Zapper. (Otherwise you may goop the electronics and/or falsely trip the system.)

Q: What type of batteries do I need?

A: The Rat Zapper Ultra requires 4 “D” alkaline batteries which will provide approximately two years of stand-by power. Use high quality alkaline batteries to ensure the best results.
