Rat Zapper Ultra

Buy 2 Get 1 Free Offer

Special, Buy 2 Get 1 FREE Offer!

If you're looking to get rid of one rat or several large rats, the Rat Zapper Ultra will deliver years of dependable service. This electronic rat trap is humane, safe, and easy to use. From set-up and use through cleaning and maintenance, each zap will be a snap thanks to clear step-by-step instructions. Once the target enters the Ultra, two plates deliver a total of 8,000 volts for two minutes, ensuring high kill rates. And the "no touch" feature makes disposal a truly hands-off experience.

How It Works

The Rat Zapper Ultra is equipped with smart circuit technology that senses when the rodent enters the trap. Once the rodent is inside, the rat steps onto the metal plates, completing the circuit and the trap delivers a quick, humane 8,000 volt shock. Since rats have the ability to restart their hearts, the shock is applied for 2 minutes ensuring a high kill rate. Each time the trap catches a rat, the light on top of the trap flashes red to indicate a kill. You can "zap" 60 rats with one set of 4 “D” batteries, which makes it a truly effective rat trap.

Features

Easy to Use

How easy are they to use? Very--and that's just one reason why they're so popular--just insert batteries, bait, place, turn it on and relax. First, insert 4 “D” batteries into the battery compartment. Using the entrance, bait the trap along the back wall using a small amount of peanut butter, dry pet food or nuts. Place the trap where you have seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. Turn on the Rat Zapper Ultra. A red light will blink once indicating the trap is working properly.

Simple Setup

"Yuck"-Free Cleanup

The hands-free, "no touch, no view" disposal reduces the "yuck" factor of a common mouse and rat trap. Clean-up is easy and it can be reused indefinitely--your friends and family will want to borrow it for safe, humane rat elimination.

Safe and Sanitary

The Rat Zapper Ultra is safe for use anywhere in the home. Built with high-quality electronics, recycled plastics, and recycled packaging, the Rat Zapper Ultra is both effective and environmentally friendly. It is ideal for attics, garages, basements and sheds. While it's always wise to use caution around children and pets, there is no blood, mess, chemicals, or poisons with the Rat Zapper Ultra.

Works great By Joe

I bought 1 from local store and ended up buying 3 from website. At first they were not working until I started putting dry dog food inside them. I have switched to peanut butter inside the back along the side of the inside and in the middle between the front and zap area. I have caught both mice and rats

Pretty good product By D

I bought 3 of the silver and 3 of the blue/ purple. The silver works the best, kills rats, mice, anything that crawls inside. I use mine outside under a covered patio but Victor should make a waterproof one!

stressed out by rats/mice? Rat Zapper ultra returns peace of mind! By so relieved!

We bought the Rat Zapper ultra 3 pack and placed the traps in different locations with dog kibble to attract the rats and caught a rat nearly every night for 12 nights, & there has been no sign of them ever since -- all gone, thank goodness! (I placed their bodies in the woods behind us with no fear that whatever ate them would be harmed, since they weren't poisoned.) My peace of mind has returned being rid of these disease carrying & destructive creatures from our property!

I don't know how anyone could "build a better mouse trap" By crabby

i've bought at least twenty of these trap over the years, the silver ones work best in my opinion. Not too crazy about the reddish one.I live in the tropics and tree rats are always getting in under edge of roof. I know they are there are and hear them having races up there. When this happens it's time for the zapper to wipe them out, one a night until the bait stays in the trap. I set through a crawl space door and ithe next AM, another one bites the dust. I love these things, gets rats and mice in my downstairs workshop too.

Good product By S

These worked great for the first two weeks. The traps caught 15 rats, practically one per night. Then I noticed the traps would be flashing red but nothing was inside. Finally, there was a random rainstorm while I was at work which fried two of them. Initially a great product to invest in but are rather water sensitive and too expensive to replace.

Very good! By Robert

Caught a mouse in the first 2 hours after installing it. Caught multiple mice since then. Very effective. I'm using cat dry food and peanut butter. Batteries don't last as long as expected, but the results (catching mice) compensate a lot! Tried other traps before and this is by far the best product!

Not good for out doors By Rich

I set the traps up under my shed next to a mango tree. Dog food kibbles for bait. One trap was pulled out from under shed six feet, no rat in it. All three traps were filled with ants, one with the red light flashing. I will have to get rid of the ants first I guess.

Horrible plastic-chemical smell rats won't come near! By DAC

We bought the package of 3 rat zappers. When we opened the shipping box, my eyes burned from the strong fumes of plastic. We put the box in the garage and took one zapper out. We aired it a few days and then baited it. We put it in our garage where rats leave turds and we've previously killed them with the old fashion wooden traps. ZERO! We've waited, rebaited, moved the zapper to a trail the rats use by our fence....nothing! They don't go near the zapper due to the smell it still has. The other two zappers have never been out of the box as they are useless. These are trash.

Q&A
Q.Can this trap be set in a backyard? I have a rat destroying my garden. Which trap would you recommend. Its a very big rat
A.

The electronic rat and mouse traps are recommended for indoor use only. As an alternative, we suggest trying a Havahart® live animal trap.

Q.we are thinking about purchasing and placing on shelving behind our fridge and gas stove I am curious if the electric current will mess with my appliances at all? Also curious if after the rats have been zapped is there a fowl smell from the shock?
A.

This is a self-contained product that runs on 4 D batteries.  The electric shock is delivered only to the plates inside the unit. We recommend checking the trap often, as a deceased animal can begin to smell quickly.

Q.When I put the batteries in, it only flashes red. I changed the batteries and added fresh ones, still only the red light, no green light
A.

If the red light flashes when first turning the unit on , this indicates a low battery. Please note that we do not recommend using rechargeable batteries in our electronic traps. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for additional assistance.

FAQs

Rat Zapper Ultra Trap - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where do I place the trap?

A: Place the trap along the wall where rodents primarily travel or where you have seen signs of rodent activity. Rats are wary critters and they’ll initially avoid anything new in their environment. Good news is we’re smarter than they are! It may take a few days or nights for the first rat to enter your trap but be patient!

Q: How do I bait the trap?/What should I use to bait the trap?

A: To bait the Rat Zapper, first make sure the trap is turned off. Place the bait along or on the back wall of the trap. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. We’ve carefully researched dry pet food and found it an excellent lure. Other dried baits (nuts, dehydrated fruit, etc.) can also work well. Goopy Bait Note: Please don’t place moist or goopy bait in your Rat Zapper unless you place it in a plastic container, like a medium plastic bottle cap, and then slide it to the back of your Rat Zapper. (Otherwise you may goop the electronics and/or falsely trip the system.)

Q: What type of batteries do I need?

A: The Rat Zapper Ultra requires 4 “D” alkaline batteries which will provide approximately two years of stand-by power. Use high quality alkaline batteries to ensure the best results.
