Description

Safer’s® Defender™ Garden Fungicide RTU 1L

For use on vegetables, fruits, ornamentals and flowering plants.

Powdery mildew: on roses, chrysanthemums, grapes, strawberries, currants, gooseberries, beans, dahlias. Concord grapes and other sulphur-shy varieties of plants may be sensitive to this product. Spray at first sign of disease and repeat at 10-14 day intervals.

Black Spot: on roses. Spray every 7-10 days to ensure thorough coverage of new foliage and stems.

Rust: on currants, gooseberries, beans and ornamentals. Spray at first sign of disease and repeat at 10-14 day intervals as necessary.

Preharvest Interval: Apply up to 1 day before harvest for all crops except wine grapes, which require a 21 day interval.

Q.How do you know if the product is killing the powdery mildew? How will you know when it is gone? I sprayed my plant 5 days ago and it does not look any different.
A.

We recommend spraying this product at first sign of disease and repeating at 10-14 day intervals until the powdery mildew disappears. Make sure to spray thoroughly and wet upper and lower surfaces of the foliage.

Q.Hello, I would like to know if this product is good for thuja bush. This bush becomes light brown and gray, like if it becomes dry. I heard that in this case the bush needs to be watered with the fungicide. Thank you

There has been no specific testing for this product and its effects on thuja bushes. 

Q.Can this be used on zucchini as a preventative for powdery mildew?
A.

This product can be used to prevent powdery mildew on a variety of plants, however, it has not been specifically tested for zucchini.
