When a rodent triggers the metal pedal, the trap immediately springs closed to kill the mouse on contact. Then, simply lift the rugged metal kill bar to dispose of the body. The trap can be disposed of, or reused many times over at your discretion.
Victor® Metal Pedal Mouse Traps are perfect for use anywhere in the home, indoors or out, and are ideal for placing along runways where mice like to travel, or anywhere else you see signs of mouse activity. It is safe to use around children and pets because it contains no poisons or chemicals, but we recommend that you use caution. For maximum effectiveness, place traps along walls at 2 to 3 foot intervals.
The Metal Pedal is easy to set and use. Here’s how:
- Remove the arm bar from the staple.
- Move the arm bar to the back of the trap so it hangs over the back of the trap.
- Bait the trap with peanut butter, chocolate, hazelnut spread or anything high in protein. Place the bait on the metal bait pedal using a Q-Tip, toothpick or another tool to mask your human scent.
- Pull the kill bar back and hold it in place with your thumb.
- Swing the arm bar over the kill bar and latch the bent end of the arm bar into the notch on the metal pedal as shown. Slowly release pressure from the kill bar until the arm bar has fully engaged and holds the kill bar securely.
- Place the trap wherever you’ve seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents like to travel. The baited end of the trap should be placed flush against the wall.
- After the mouse is caught, properly dispose of the dead rodent. The trap can either be discarded or reused.

Review RateAlternative use of mousetraps
I purchased the mousetraps in order to build mousetrap catapults for a Cub Scout Event. The traps worked well, and the boys had a great time building them and launching large marshmallows. Next school year I plan on using the rest of them to build mousetrap race cars.

Review RateI must have really stupid mice!I've used these traps forever and this one beats all other models hands down. Since I usually go through 8-12 a winter, I'm so happy to find them in bulk. But I have always just scooped out a little peanut butter (from an old jar that I keep for just that purpose) with the tip of my finger and bated the trap and I've never had a mouse bypass a trap. Maybe mine are just really hungry...
Review RateBest Traps on the MarketI've used a lot of mouse traps in my day catching mice, but now I bought these specific traps for a class project. Definitely a great source of power and fantastic if you ever run into a pest problem. I've had great success with these so I thought I would stock up.
Review RateCheap and EFFECTIVEI've tried other brands of traps, but so many times the mice eat the bait but the trap doesn't trigger. So the bait just becomes a regular meal for the mice. These Victor traps are easy to bait, easy to set, cheap enough to use everywhere, and most importantly, they work!
I've learned my lesson from all the mice that got away. I'm sticking with Victor.
Oh, and if you think you need a couple of traps, you probably need a couple dozen.
