Review RateBest trap
These are the best mouse traps I have used! They are much cleaner and easier to use than old fashion snap traps. These are also much more efficient, trapping many mice in one setting. I use these in my house, my garage and my chicken pen.
Review RateFrom catcher to feeder...:-)
(sorry for the bad English) After months of good service, the mice started to feed on the bait and escape! The little ramp to get into the box wasn’t springing back up enough, leaving a tiny gap allowing a smart mouse to push the ramp down and leave… I dismantled the entry box, there is no spring, it is a tiny rocking system with a weight, rocking on a small metal rod that is too flimsy (merci Monsieur ou Madame ingénieur…)and get crooked, I guess when the mouse is big or fighting to escape. The tiny rod is also not fixed ,so once crooked, it turns on itself, bowering downward and lowering the ramp. Try turning the second tiny ‘hook’ (it is the end of the supporting rod) you see on the side of the entry box until the ramp goes all the way up, then put strong tape to fix the tiny hook. Mine was working when the hook was facing down. VoilàResponse From WoodstreambrandsKathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review Ratelive traps used to work, don't now
Just curious if you've changed design of the live tin box traps, perhaps weakened the spring on lever hinge. I've used these traps in the past successfully but the mice are now chowing down on bait and escaping from new traps. Noticed some other similar comments. No, glue boards are not an option - would have bought those instead of tin box traps if I'd wanted to deal with setting them free from glue.Response From WoodstreambrandsElizabeth : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for sharing your experience. These traps have not been redesigned and are still designed with a see-saw that prevents mice from escaping. This trap is covered under a 1 year warranty. Please contact us at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867). We are happy to offer assistance.
Review RateVery efficient
These tins are extremely effective. I was hearing a mouse running over the suspended ceiling in the basement at night, so I put a tin there with peanut butter. Next morning, two mice were patiently waiting inside it. After searching, we found that they were coming from the attic, so I placed a tin there as well. Next morning, three mice were waiting inside it. Since then, no more mice! I'm very satisfied with this product!
Review RateGreat trap, needed more.
We already had one Tin Cat trap, and were very satisfied with it's performance when baited with peanut butter (the very finest quality organic, of course). Apparently word got out, because we've had an increased number of mice coming in this winter. So we ordered more traps (with an extra for a friend) to put in diiferent locations; we expect these to be equally effective. Sturdy, and easy-to-clean!
Review RateMice escape
I used the Tin Cat successfully for a few weeks, but now the mice eat the bait and escape. The flap over the exit seems to have lost it's springiness. I wonder if there is some adjustment or repair that can be madeResponse From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateMice are outsmarting the Tin Cat
Sadly, while my Tin Cat is functioning properly, the mice are eating the bait and escaping. I've had good success with the trap in the past, but no longer. I can only conclude the mice are simply flipping the see-saw ramp back down and leaving the way they came in. Seems a shame that I'm going to now have to use lethal traps to defeat such intelligent and resourceful creatures. I'm giving the Tin Cat two stars only because it initially worked so well. Re: the "glue traps inside the Tin Cat" solution offered above -- I'm supposed to pour olive oil over a bunch of trapped mice in hope that will free them? Hardly a practical plan.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateWorks great for me!
I have been using these traps and the ones with the window with mouse bait meal and have had success.on a consistent basis. I use the traps along the sides of the house and around the shop, trying to prevent mice from chewing on the wiring in trucks and equipment. I would think that eventually the mouse population would decrease, but the traps are still catching them!
