Do not buy! By Trish

Horrible! Bought a new one of this feeder to replace my old faithful. Why did you change it? First of all the holes in the tube don’t all line up with the holes in the wire cage so only some birds can feed! You eliminated the perches! The blue birds refuse to use it as their are no perches, only birds who can grasp can use the feeder. Wasted my money on this one. I have probably 10 of your feeders all together and this is one is a TOTAL disappointment!

Another plastic tube replacement disappointment By Nepean Birdman

I also came online to see if I can purchase replacements for the plastic feeder tubes. This is my second such unit - I love the design, but once again, this second one has seen the plastic tubes discolour and waste away. On my first unit, I used 1/4 inch wire mesh and fashioned a tube, using tiny zip ties to keep it together. I only use sunflower seeds and this works just fine for the cardinals, finches, chickadees etc that frequent the feeder. Still, not impressed with the manufacturer foregoing the opportunity to provide replacement tubes...

Great feeder EXCEPT the inner tube doesn’t last. First last lasted years, the new ones are cheaply made and thin. Really disappointed in Perky Pet.

Satisfied By Hmoore

Really didn’t want to pay as much as we did for our two feeders, but found they were unavailable in our local store because of the craziness of our times. Our last ones lasted a considerable time, but eventually the UV rays broke down the plastic and they cracked. That said, with a squirrel guard under the hanging pole, these work well and give us much enjoyment watching the birds feed! One issue I have is that the cover is a little tricky to remove (gets caught on something), also it is hard to “lock” it once filled. Other than that, we will put the price and cover issue behind us and enjoy our beautiful, happy feathered friends!

Love these feeders. By aschavel

I have 3 of these and they are by far my favorite feeders. Along with everyone else, it's the plastic tubes that discolor and deteriorate with use. My husband has glued mine together until they cannot be pieced together any more. I'm not sure any plastic would last. I too am anxious to buy replacement tubes. The fact that they come apart to fill from the bottom allows me to hang them higher than any other feeders.

Great product but no replacement parts By Erin
Really liked these feeders and have bought 3 of them over time. Unfortunately the plastic sleeve in the centre decomposes in the sun and you will need to replace it. Sad reality is that the company does not sell parts for this feeder. As said, like the product but only buy it if you are willing to throw it all away after several years use.

A huge disappointment By DGS 55

As with virtually all of the reviews I've seen for the Squirrel Resistant Easy Feeder model, the plastic seed tubes have yellowed and cracked on both of my feeders. What an incredible waste that we cannot get replacement parts!! I will DEFINITELY not buy this product again, and I would advise anyone considering buying this feeder that it will not last. So disappointing! I've bought from a competitor who offers a LIFETIME warranty.

Love the feeder, but not the plastic tube. Tube tends to crack after about 4 months. I own 4 of these feeders, and am now only using 2 of them.....not happy.

As almost everybody says its a great feeder but now I have 3 cages and only one works! I came on line to order replacements plastic tubes, only to find out no replacement tubes. To bad!!!

Q.I bought this model of bird feeder and somehow a squirrel (or raccoon) managed to dislodge the tube from the cage. The cage and steel base are still fully intact (the cage is still hanging from the hanger) but the plastic tube has been damaged beyond re-use. Is it possible to simply buy a replacement inner plastic tube?
