Review RateWish the tube was better quality
Love the feeder, but not the plastic tube. Tube tends to crack after about 4 months. I own 4 of these feeders, and am now only using 2 of them.....not happy.Response From WoodstreambrandsKathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RatePoor plastic feeder tubes
Like everyone else, I enjoy this bird feeder much. But I cannot understand why you do not have to replacement feeder tubes. I too will be making my own replacement feeder tubes. I have the outside from 3 feeders that I'm trying to find tubes for now.
Review RateVery Good Bird Feeder
This is one of my favorite feeder's. I have 2 of them, and is the favorite with my birds. Finches, woodpeckers, chickadee's, titmouse and nuthatches. Yes squirrels occasionally go on them and they are able to get few seeds out but they cannot chew thru the plastic feeder. I also like that the seed stays dry, even with snow, But for extra protection I have a rain above the feeder. Before removing the cage from the tube to fill the feeder make sure the you turn the tube where the notch is on the bottom. I learned this lesson when I first bought the feeder 2 years ago, if you don't you will have spilled seed. My only complaint about the feeder is that after 2 years of use, the tubes are yellowing and it is a little difficult to put the tube back into the upper portion of the cage. I rubbed a little bit of grease on the on top of the tube and and the bottom of the tube and now it's back to where it was when I bought it. In all my years of buying feeders, I really like this bird feeder.
Review RateYou need to supply the replacement seed tube!
The seed tube yellows and cracks after a few months and now they don’t carry the replacement tube. Now I have to throw away a perfectly good bird feeder and buy something else. Way to go Perky Pet.Response From WoodstreambrandsKathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateDesign great of the feeder but plastic needs makeover
It appears to be the favorite feeder of the birds that hangs by a rope in a tree. I can pull out the tube and fill it after cleaning and with lawn sprinklers we adjusted but still get it wet the drain holes protect the seed. We have 3 indoor cats this entertains so they send 3 paws up as well. The tube is poor quality I agree and will watch to see if need to use the warranty as it will we a year old in the spring. Otherwise LOVE the design!
Review RateNo Squirrels but no birds too.
We have only had it up a few days and it does seem to stop the squirrels. However it seems to also stop the birds, we have not had any birds figure out how to use it. I am thinking of taking it back just for this reason.
Review RateRED METAL & PLASTIC Bird Feeder
I too liked that this product held a lot of seed but the plastic tube was not very durable and would have liked to just replace the tube. Animals knocked it off of the hook and cracked it. I tried to tape it which blocked several of the holes, but still used until the wind blew it down and it broke even more. Pretty expensive for a 7-month use bird feeder. I refuse to buy another one and will buy the cheap feeders at Lowes, Walmart or Home Depot and repurchase every year which will be cheaper in the long run.Response From WoodstreambrandsKathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateWould like tube replacement option
WHY are you not providing replacement tubes? From the reviews you could be doing quite a bit of business. I love the feeder but have had raccoons and possums destroy the tubes. I refuse to buy another one only to have to throw away the metal parts. #reduce wasteResponse From WoodstreambrandsKathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateLove it
I love this feeder. I have been reading the reviews and I must say I have had one for a couple years and have had no problems with the plastic tube. It does discolor but I can live with that. It is the easiest feeder to fill and is big enough you don't have to fill everyday. This will be the only feeder I ever buy again. I was getting them at Rural King but mine isn't carrying it now for some reason :(.
