Review RateDriving the sleeve into the ground - cheap plastic breaks!
Just came from driving that sleeve into the ground ... even though I did use a block of wood (as suggested) the plastic sleeve kept breaking off in chunks both on top and in the ground (which was not even frozen) probably because it's made of cheap plastic! When there was about 2" of the sleeve still sticking out of the ground, I decided to place the pole into it and use that block of wood to drive the steel pole rather than continue to loose so much of the cheap plastic sleeve to continued breaks. Once that pole was placed into the sleeve it wouldn't come out again! This will prove annoying when the time comes to mow the lawn. Wanting the job done, I used that block of wood to pound on the pole to drive it in further in then finally managed to secure (what I assumed) was about the required 12" depth. The birds better come after this disappointing installation.Response From WoodstreambrandsJennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We are very sorry for this experience! This feedback is appreciated and has been shared with our Product Managers. For the best results, we recommend digging a 12 inch hole before installing the sleeve into the ground.

Review RateI think the products offered are high quality. I would love to be able to put a notch in my belt for managing my squirrel nuicense
I found that the sleeve at the base of the pole needed to be more than 12" below grade for the pole to be rigid enough to support hanging the feeder on the extension arm. The set-up took one hit from the squirrels jumping from a first floor roof. I have the "squirrel-be-gone country style bird feeder". This feeder is quite heavy (all metal) and the hanging hardware could function better if the notch on the extension arm was deeper- this would make for a better connection.
Review RatePerky Pet.com
I bought this pole from Perky-Pet about 4 years ago and its still standing. My only concern is that the hanging arm has a big crack in it now and you can't buy a replacement, but otherwise I've really enjoyed it, and do my all my pet shopping here.
Review Ratedoes what it says on the tin
Does exactly what I needed it to and looks pretty good doing it. Wish the fit on our feeder was just a little bit snugger, but it's plenty stable.
Review RateGood value
Nice pole setup for the price. There are four pole sections with one hanger and a piece to attach to a tray feeder, so I was able to create two feeder poles. There is nothing to sink the pole into the ground, so I had to rig something up, but that's okay considering the low price. I would definitely buy this again.
Review RateMore is better
We already had the poles from a previous order and liked it so much to order more and use them for our Bird Houses and Feeders
Review RateLove our new bird - backyard
We first bought just 3 of them for our feeders, but quickly ordered more for our bird houses. Easy to put in the ground. Look good. Great for the height
Review Ratedoes the job as it should
Easy to put together and it held my feeder steady.
Review RateChristmas GiftI bought this as a gift for family who had just moved into a new house. They were thrilled.
Review RateSturdy, easy to installWe haven't had the pole up long but it was easy to install and is very sturdy. We are using it will a Perky-Pet bird feeder and the pole fits into the hole in the bottom well but it rocks a little (not really snug) so that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I may wrap a little something around the top of the pole to snug it up a little. We love the feeder and pole combo though.
