grow healthy and strong. This special formulation of insecticidal soap kills soft-bodied insects while

Kills Destructive Insects on Contact
Safer’s® Insect Killing Soap uses potassium salts of fatty acids to kill soft-bodied insect
pests on contact. Potassium salts of fatty acids work by weakening and breaking down the protective outer
shell of the insects, ultimately triggering dehydration and eventually death. Potassium salts of fatty acids
are derived from the natural acids found in animals fat and plant oils. Simply spray your plants at the
first sign of insect damage and reapply every 7-10 days as long as insects are present.
Target Unwanted Pests
Safer’s® Insect Killing Soap Concentrate kills aphids, mealy bugs, spider mites and
whiteflies. It does not kill beneficial insects such as ladybugs, praying mantises, and others when used as
directed Insect Killing Soap is gentle enough to use directly on your plants to keep them pest-free. Mix
this concentrate and use Safer’s® Insecticidal Soap on houseplants, ornamental foliage
plants, flowering plants, fruits, and vegetables. When mixed appropriately, it is gentle enough to be used
up until the day of harvest.
An Economical, Easy-to-Mix Solution
This 500mL bottle contains a concentrated insecticidal soap solution that creates over 48 times that amount
in usable insect-killing spray. Simply mix a small amount of concentrate with water as directed until you
have the desired amount of insecticidal soap. Store any unmixed concentrate in a cool place for later use.
This entire bottle will cover up to 1,600 square feet of plantings.

I want to bring herbs that have been outside all summer indoors for winter. I don't want to spray them. I want to submerse the entire pot in a dilution of insecticidal soap and water. I have 1L of the soap (not concentrate) with 2.0% potassium salts of fatty acids (LBL015057F-6). What ratio of soap to water should I use and how long should I soak? Thanks.

The concentrate should be mixed at a ratio of 1 part concentrate to 20 parts water and applied using a sprayer for best results. Submerging the pot is not advised, as this would not ensure proper contact with pests and is not an effective or recommended application method.

Will the insecticide soap be harmful to butterflies or their eggs?

Hi, thank you for reaching us. The product will harm the butterflies and even the eggs. It is a contact solution that works by breaking down the outer shell of the insect, meaning if an insect lands on the plant after the soap solution has dried, the insect will not be affected.
