Q&A
What is the shelf life of your BTK Insecticide concentrate?
Question by: R Scott on May 26, 2024, 6:05 PM
This product should be used within 2 years of the manufacture date for best results.
Answer by: Lauren Potter (Admin) on May 28, 2024, 10:31 AM
in follow up to my previous question, Safer's has indicated that the date of manufacture should be read as year, day, month, ie: LBL172110 is 2017, 21 day, 10 month. so according to the MSDS sheet this product would've expired (or should be used before) October 21, 2019.

Please clarify your manufacturing date code and edit your previously answered questions about this appropriately. Some answers say mm/dd/yy others say year day month and another says it’s just a product revision date. The same answers also say 2 year effectiveness and another says no loss in effectiveness if stored correctly. All very confusing.
Question by: Craig on May 24, 2025, 9:13 AM
Hi, thank you for reaching us. The label should be read as month, day, and year. Store product between 0 degrees C and 20 degrees C to maintain optimal stability/longevity. As long as the product has been stored appropriately, there is no concern for reduced efficacy as a result of shelf life. Once the container is opened, the shelf life will be approximately one year.
