I also have an unusual use for the porcelain insulators. I use them as weights for my weaving. Several types of weaving have threads need weights when on the loom. The insulators are a good weight and a compact size. Many thanks.
Review RateGreat bobbins for tablet weavingI use these for a warp weighted loom for tablet weaving. They are much less expensive than purchasing tama (weights for kumihimo) and work well. Their weights are not precise, and vary about 8 grams or so, but these work fine. The added bonus is that you can wind up excess warp on the bobbin part.

Plastic insulators are molded from polyethylene, polycarbonate, or nylon and are designed to hold electrified wire near a variety of posts without losing energy through the post.
