Perky-Pet® Dual Mesh Seed Feeder

I just purchased this dual TSS00349 feeder. I am finding the sunflower seeds are not coming out onto the tray. Any suggestions? Should I loosen the bolt on the bottom?

For the Perky-Pet® Dual Mesh Seed Feeder, we recommend using black-oil sunflower seed or thistle. Regular sunflower seeds are larger than black-oil sunflower seeds, which could be why the birds are having difficulty accessing the seeds.
