The Perky-Pet® Bronze Panorama Bird Feeder is sure to attract many birds to your backyard, including cardinals, titmice, nuthatches and more. The innovative design of this feeder allows the seed to dispense into the tray and stops dispensing once the tray is full. Simply fill with sunflower seed, mixed seed, or any other kind of bird seed. Then, as the birds dine from the circular perch, the seed is replenished into the tray so it remains consistently full.
This feeder also features the Sure-Lock™
cap system, an exclusive squirrel-resistant feature, which ensures the lid stays put and so squirrels have a difficult time gaining access to the seed. Use the built-in hanging cable to place this feeder anywhere around your yard. The Small Panorama holds 2 lb of seed and features a rustic brown finish to blend with your outdoor décor. Remember to clean your wild bird feeders every two weeks with a mild soap and water solution.
Sure-Lock™
cap locks lid in place to keep squirrels out
Large seed tray and circular perch lets birds feed from all angles
Powder-coated finish offers rust resistance for durability
Includes a built-in hanging cable for versatile placement
Attracts cardinals, titmice, nuthatches, and a variety of other wild birds
For use with sunflower seed, mixed seed, and any other type of bird seed
I got this feeder for free, as a replacement for another model that broke after a month but had been discontinued.
I appreciated the company standing behind their product.
I got the brown colour - considered Bronze.
I’ve been using it for three months.
It’s fine in dry weather. It is also fine in the snow and cold.
It has withstood regular washing, but I am careful to take it apart and let it dry thoroughly.
However, now that it’s getting rained on periodically, the paint is coming off.
It has started flaking off on the underside of the tray, between that and the plastic base.
In the spring, it’s impossible to avoid it getting wet and sitting for several hours in that condition.
Water also drains down the hanging cable and into the feeder, making the seed wet. I have been pinning a paper towel around the cable to absorb the water, but it hasn’t stopped it completely.
I owned this same feeder for many years and it took a long time for the paint to peel away. I’ve also been using the Copper version for several years, and the paint has never come off.
Maybe I just got a dud. But if this is a common issue, I hope it can be fixed to ensure that paint isn’t flaking into the birdseed.
(I have a photo but wasn’t able to add it here.)
We’re sorry to hear about the paint flaking and water getting into the feeder, and we appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear the feeder has held up well in other conditions, but this is not the experience we want for our customers.
To help reduce these issues, you may try placing the feeder in a more sheltered area, such as under an overhang, to limit prolonged exposure to rain. Ensuring all parts are fully dry after cleaning, as you’ve been doing, is also great practice. For the water traveling down the hanging cable, adding a small drip loop or barrier above the feeder can help divert water before it reaches the seed.
We will be sure to pass your feedback along to our product team, as it is very valuable in helping us improve our designs and materials.

I ordered 2 of the Perky Pet feeders; one in blue and one in red... Looks wonderful and cheerful (I am hoping the birds will also think so!) ... Keeps the seeds (black sunflower seeder) dry as the lid covers the tubular column where the seeds go... important during winter times! Great company and fairly quick delivery!
I just bought the copper version. I had the bronze one that I got free from you to replace another feeder that quickly broke. The paint all flaked off that one so I thought I’d try the copper.
I washed it when I bought it, used it once and it got dirty so I washed it again - spray with soapy water, wash and rinse in warm water, dry excess water and let fully dry, dismantled. After a few hours of drying there is rust appearing where the spokes meet the base and inside the drain holes. What am I doing wrong? I have a copper one I bought years ago and the only rust is on the hanging wire. It has been washed the same way dozens of times and survived countless rainy days.

You’re not doing anything wrong. Your cleaning routine is gentle and correct for this feeder. The Panorama is made of steel with a powder-coated finish designed to resist rust, and the copper version adds a thin copper layer with a clear coat on top. Rust appearing at the spoke joints and drain holes right after washing points to a gap in the coating at those spots, since those are the places where steel is most exposed. That would be a finish issue with the feeder, not how you cleaned it.
Since the rust showed up on a brand-new feeder after normal washing, please contact Perky-Pet Customer Care so they can look into a replacement. Have your proof of purchase and purchase date handy, and mention that this is your second finish issue so they have the full picture.
